Maurice Stebila is Harman’s Chief Information Security Officer responsible for Digital Cyber Security, Compliance and Privacy across Harman’s global enterprise. Harman, recently acquired by Samsung, is the international leader in the development and manufacturing of connected audio products and infotainment systems. Leading brands include JBL, AKG, Harman Kardon, Infinity, Lexicon, Mark Levinson, Revel, AMX, Martin Lighting and Bang & Olufsen.
Previous to Harman, Mr. Stebila spent over twenty five years with General Motors / EDS. As a Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP), he held numerous executive security, compliance and risk management positions including the EDS Chief Security Officer for General Motor’s Assets Management, managing over $130 billion in assets.
Recognized as a leader in cyber security, compliance and privacy, Mr. Stebila has managed on a global scale the investigations and mitigations of targeted attacks on corporate networks. His work includes contractual and regulatory compliance, resolving international discrepancies between information security and data privacy requirements.
Mr. Stebila was recently awarded the 2019 Reboot Leadership Award by SC Media/Magazine which honors executive and professional leaders for their unique, inventive and inspiring contributions that improve security, shape the industry, provide thought leadership, and have a positive impact on cybersecurity.
Mr. Stebila believes in the importance of collective wisdom and enabling global information exchanges and is a frequent speaker, panelist and advisor at major cyber security conferences around the world.
