Brently Catoe

Brent Catoe is the Information Security Manager at Nashville Electric Service. He leads a team of professionals responsible for all aspects of Information Security, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Security Operations, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Risk Management, Compliance, and Disaster Recovery. Brent began his IT career in 2005 working the helpdesk at a Managed Services Provider in Atlanta. He quickly advanced into System Administration. In 2008, he moved to Nashville and started at NES as a Network Engineer. Around 10 years ago, he found his true passion in Information Security. He holds a Bachelors in Information Technology, as well as his CISSP and CISM certifications. Brent prides himself in building an Information Security team and program that focuses on enabling the business to do their job in a secure manner while protecting NES and its customers. His greatest passion is traveling and visiting new places with his wife and two boys.
