Vandana has been a tech professional for the past 15+ years and a privacy professional for the past 10 years. She started her journey in software engineering at Tellme/Microsoft before pivoting into the privacy engineering domain. She is passionate about preventative privacy solutions and ideating from a grass-roots level. She has led “shift-to-left” transformations of privacy programs to solve key challenges in data privacy such as data minimization, user choice, and data protection. She actively volunteers on the Risks & Controls Committee at the Institute of Operational Privacy Design. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and frequenting local coffee shops.
