With over 25 years of IT experience and more than a decade specializing in cybersecurity leadership, Scott McCandless is a trusted information security executive known for driving strategy, building resilient teams, and strengthening enterprise risk management. Currently serving as Director of Cyber Security Operations at Movement Mortgage, Scott McCandless partners closely with the CISO to align security initiatives with organizational strategy. His career spans industries including nonprofit, legal, mortgage, and government, where he has consistently led high-performing teams, implemented robust security programs, and achieved key certifications such as ISO 27001 and ISO 27701. He is recognized for his ability to bridge technical expertise with business acumen, ensuring security operations enable, rather than hinder organizational growth.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Scott McCandless serves as President of the Denver Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), where he leads a board of directors and volunteers in advancing cybersecurity knowledge and community engagement across the region. His leadership extends beyond the workplace and professional associations, having also served as an Colorado elected official for the Bradburn Metropolitan Special District No. 3.
