Paul M. Kay is Founder and Principal Consultant of PMK Risk & Technology Advisory, where he advises boards, executives, and investors on cybersecurity strategy, AI governance, operational resilience, and enterprise risk management.
Most recently, Paul served as Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer at Western Union, leading a global cybersecurity organization supporting digital payments across more than 200 countries and territories. Prior to Western Union, he served as Global CISO for EchoStar and Hughes and as Chief Security Officer for MillerCoors.
Throughout his career, Paul has partnered closely with boards of directors, executive leadership teams, and audit and risk committees to translate complex cybersecurity, technology, and emerging AI risks into actionable business decisions. His experience spans financial services, telecommunications, technology, manufacturing, retail, and government.
In addition to his executive leadership roles, Paul advises cybersecurity innovators including Wiz and Reach Security on enterprise security strategy and emerging risk trends. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Korey Wise Innocence Project.
Paul holds degrees from Harvard University and New York Law School and maintains CISM, CDPSE, and CFE certifications.
