Cailin Sullivan

Cailin Sullivan is a dedicated information security leader with a deep family legacy in the field. With 7 years of professional experience, she has developed expertise across data privacy, cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks. As the Head of Information Security at Appcues, Inc., she oversees all aspects of the company’s security program and compliance program.

Previously, Cailin held leadership and analyst roles at Carbonite, where she managed vulnerability management programs and drove compliance with SOX, privacy, and third-party risk standards. Her expertise spans threat and vulnerability management, security awareness training, customer assurance, legal contract review, and managing global compliance initiatives. She is known for translating complex security requirements into programs that support business goals and build trust.

A respected voice in the security community, Cailin serves as President of the ISSA New England Chapter Board of Directors and co-hosts the Cybersecurity Refined and Feral podcast. She maintains active memberships with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity Management and Policy from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

When not working her day job, Cailin can be found exploring the outdoors through horseback riding, kayaking, and hiking, or improving her game on the golf course.
