Cyber Resilience Leadership Masterclass: From Best Practice To Execution

Presented at the ISSA 40th Anniversary Event and 2025 Awards Gala.

Session date:September 4, 2025
Session time:1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Achieving true cyber resilience requires more than adhering to high-level principles or aiming to achieve regulatory compliance. Becoming cyber resilient demands a structured, measurable approach and accountable leadership. This presentation introduces core cyber resilience concepts and principles, outlines key differences between operational resilience and cybersecurity and will focus on the Cyber Resilience Capability Maturity Model (CR-CMM), a community-driven practical framework inspired by the famous SOC-CMM and aligned with NIST SP 800-160, the MITRE Cyber Resiliency Engineering Framework, and other best-in-class frameworks.

In addition, the team from Dell Technologies will deep-dive into cyber recovery – one of the ten core practices from the CR-CMM – offering practical use cases and a comprehensive overview of how people, process, and technology must align to enable fast, reliable recovery from major cyber incidents. Their insights will highlight real-world recovery challenges, best practices for building cyber vaults and air-gapped backups, and the critical role of preparedness in maintaining business continuity.

Join us for a deep dive into the operationalization of cyber resilience, from capability maturity to strategy and discover how to move from assessment to action.

Another great event that’s part of our ongoing Awards Gala 2025, ISSA International Event series.
