ISSA offers an option for full-time students who are enrolled in an accredited program, pursuing a degree, and not yet working full-time in the cyber security field – at a rate that’s less than 1/3rd the regular rate of a General Membership. This membership class carries the same benefits as that of a General Member – access to the members’ area on our website, members-only savings on events and resources, exclusive invitations to members-only events, subscription to the ISSA Journal, and much, much more. The only restrictions that Student Members face is that they may not hold an office on the ISSA International Board.
My security team regularly attends our local ISSA meetings. They gain the benefit of training and information sharing with other information security professionals. They also gain the opportunity to give something back to the security community in the form of topics they share. I know my team, as well as I, have learned from our participation in local ISSA meetings.

Student membership is intended for full-time students, carrying a minimum of 9 credit hours, not yet in the workforce – and is subject to approval. Applicants must be full-time students in an accredited program, pursuing a degree, and not yet working full-time in the field. Copy of current term schedule required for approval.
