Overview
Julie will share what it takes to lead as CTO of a large organization supporting sales and technology in a fast moving world, and her advice for other women looking at different aspects of technology careers. Julie will also give insights on board and advisory roles with technology organizations in for-profit companies, the advantages of these roles, and what it takes to find such opportunities, and to meet the obligations of taking on these roles.

Michelle Duquette – Cyber Security Advisor, Battelle
Michelle Duquette is a Cybersecurity Advisor who has supported Government, military and Fortune 500 companies. Through her career, Michelle has advised on implementation and effectiveness of information security programs, Cybersecurity policy management, and has been a part of integrated product teams, providing information risk management and security implementation recommendations. Michelle Duquette currently works with Battelle as a Senior Research Scientist, previously as a Senior Consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton, and a Software Engineer with Lockheed Martin. Michelle holds a M.S. Computer Science from the George Washington University, and a B.S. in Information Management and Technology from Syracuse University. In addition, Michelle is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).

For over 25 years, Julie Cullivan has driven transformational go-to-market, technology, security, operational, and acquisition strategy for both public and pre-IPO companies. Most recently she was the Chief Technology and People Officer at Forescout Technologies where she was responsible for leading the company’s business model transformation, information technology strategy, customer production operations, and human resources. Prior to Forescout, Julie held executive positions at FireEye, Autodesk, McAfee, EMC, and Oracle. She serves on the Board of Axon, the leader in law enforcement technology and on the Board of HeartFlow, Inc., the leader in revolutionizing precision heartcare. Julie was recognized as a Cybersecurity Woman of the Year 2020 by CSWY, a Woman of Influence 2019 by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, 2019 Board Most Influential Board Directors, and awarded the Bay Area CIO of the Year 2017. She is a recognized leader in both the technology and cyber-security field and a frequent speaker on topics including women in technology, security as a board room imperative, digital innovation, and building high impact teams.
