Overview

Vauda will share about the unique way she stumbled down the information security rabbit hole that lead to her becoming the Information Security Officer for a billion-dollar company and successfully implementing a security program after a credit card compromise. The presentation will also cover the different career paths, education options, certification options, character-building needed to have the gumption required to be successful as a security leader, and the ropes to skip and ropes to know. It is Vauda’s hope that sharing her successes, mistakes, resources, and lessons learned from her career will inspire up-and-coming security professionals as well as make their paths easier to fill the looming security talent gap.
