Presenter
Aaron S. Carpenter – CISO, Pohlad Companies
Aaron is Vice President and Information Security Officer of Meridian Bank and its holding company, Marquette Financial Companies (MFC). He also serves as Chief Information Security Officer of the Pohlad Companies, the holding company of MFC and other companies owned by the Pohlad family. Previously he supported security leadership, audit, and consulting roles at American Express, Deloitte, Arizona Department of Health Services, KPMG, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Aaron also serves on the board for ISACA Phoenix and is an immediate past President of ISSA Phoenix. Aaron was recently honored as Security Professional of the Year at ISSA’s 2014 Annual Conference and Awards. He graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a Master of Accountancy and Information Systems and Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Computer Information Systems. Aaron also serves as an Executive Advisory Board Member of ASU’s Department of Information Systems. He holds a number of IT and Information Security certifications: CISSP, CISA, CSP, MCP, CSCS, CHP, Security+, Network+, and A+.
