At the RSA Conference 2025, Dr. Shawn P. Murray led an energizing discussion on how innovative workforce development programs are helping to close the cybersecurity skills gap. The session spotlighted real-world initiatives that help emerging professionals transition into job-ready roles—and equip employers with the talent they need to succeed.
As the divide between classroom education and workplace expectations grows, our panel emphasized the need to align training, mentorship, and career pathways with industry demands. In recognition of National Apprenticeship Month, we also highlighted how apprenticeship programs are crucial in bridging this gap, creating structured and scalable opportunities for hands-on learning and long-term career success.
Together, we explored how partnerships between educators, employers, and cybersecurity leaders are shaping a stronger, more resilient workforce.
