Etay Nir is Deputy CTO at Axonius. Before Axonius, Etay was part of the “Special Projects” at Palo Alto Networks under the CTO and founder and acted as the Palo Alto Networks Global Threat Intelligence and cybersecurity evangelist.
Before Palo Alto Networks, Etay Nir spent ten years at Sourcefire, now part of Cisco as the technology manager under the office of the CTO. Etay was also one of the core developers of Slackware Linux Distribution and a former Linux kernel contributor.
Earlier, he was with Finjan, inventor of the first sandbox technology, and Etay was their chief technologist at the office of the CTO. Etay Nir also founded and led the Finjan Malicious Code Research Centre (MCRC).
