Service on the International Board of Directors gives you the opportunity to guide the direction of ISSA, raise the professionalism and influence of security practitioners, shape the destiny of the cyber security profession, and enhance your personal leadership skills.
Secretary/Chief Operations Officer (COO) – [3-year term]
The COO oversees and coordinates the activities of the various organization entities, especially the committees. This director is also responsible for monitoring the activity of headquarters’ staff for compliance to direction by the Board of Directors.
Directors – [3 open seats; 3-year terms]
Eligibility
Effective with this year’s elections (per the Bylaws), all candidates for the role of Director must be an experienced chapter leader, ISSA Fellow, or have comparable experience. All candidates for the role of Officer (President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer) must have previously served a full term as an Officer or Director on the ISSA International Board of Directors.
All candidates and campaign activities must follow the election policies.

Nomination
All Nominations must be received by 11:59 p.m. US Eastern Daylight Time on May 31st, 2021.
Candidates may be nominated by their chapters or sitting members of the International Board.

- Statement of goals to achieve in the position

- Confidentiality Statement
- Photo, 3”H x 4”W, 300 dpi, jpg or gif only
*Each candidate will be limited to one column space in the ISSA Journal, a maximum of 400 words, for their biography and statement of goals.
Identical biographies, goals and photos will be published in all media.
