Ghassan Abdo

Mr. Abdo, Research Vice President in the Telecommunications group, covers the evolution of the Telco Cloud Ecosystem as well as the emerging Virtualized Enterprise Networking services. His primary focus areas include Service Provider SD WAN and Managed Services, and emerging NFV-based Virtual Networking Services as well as other Managed WAN Services.  In the Hosting & Cloud segment, Ghassan covers Service Provider Managed Hosting services, including Hybrid Managed Private/Public Cloud Services, Colocation Services, Secure Cloud Connect and CDN services.

Mr. Abdo has over 25 years of experience in senior roles serving the communications, networking and IT needs of large telcos and enterprises. Recently as Senior Director of Business Development at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (formerly HP), he had responsibility for driving growth in the telco industry by capitalizing on transformative trends including NFV, SDN, Cloud, mobility, IOT and pay-per-use business models. Mr. Abdo is experienced in selling to CXOs, developing strategic business and GTM plans and providing thought leadership on emerging trends. Mr. Abdo held global and regional EMEA roles spanning sales, product management, competitive sales, presales and Joint GTM. Ghassan holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas, Arlington, MBA from University of North Texas and Advanced Telecommunication Management Certification from USC.
