Scott Lyons, M.S., CISSP

Scott Lyons is an expert in the area of cybersecurity. With over 30 years in the technology and hacker industry, in both the public and private sectors. Scott has held almost every possible security role. He has written vulnerability and incident response programs for multiple government agencies and commercial entities (ultimately preventing the loss of millions of dollars). Within the past year, Scott has been instrumental in recovering clients from ransomware and preventing a future attack from what was left by the attackers.

Scott has successfully repelled hostile incursions by hacktivists against broadcast media corporations. His expertise allows him to quickly assess situations, remediate, and manage the rollouts across the globe. In addition to his technical acumen, Scott is well seasoned at leading teams of people through stressful and difficult situations and providing accurate and timely decisions. Scott is one of the former hosts of Security Weekly’s weekly podcast entitled “Security and Compliance Weekly”.

Scott is well known in the information security community,  frequently speaking at multiple conferences on both business and technical topics. He is a staff member at Defcon (9 years) and several other industry conferences. His duties range from security engineering to garnering sponsorships. . As you may expect, Scott and his network have the resources to assist in handling the most complex of incidents.
