ISSA Privacy Responsibilities

All individuals associated with the Association, either as volunteers or as paid staff, are required to abide by the ISSA Privacy Policy. Individuals who violate this policy are subject to loss of their privileges with the Association.

ISSA International Staff

The Association’s International Staff use this information to maintain your membership, and to provide you with standard Association communications and privileges. These include:

  • ISSA publications (i.e., Journal)
  • ISSA e-mail notices (i.e., E-News)
  • ISSA membership renewal notices and membership information
  • ISSA elections ballot notices
  • Online web site access support

All ISSA paid staff members are required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

ISSA International Board

The International Board of the Association has access to your contact information as a part of its oversight responsibilities. These duties include:

  • Oversight of activities of the Association staff
  • Communicating with both members and chapters on issues and coming events
  • Reporting on Association activities, goals and achievements
  • Developing strategic and tactical direction for the Association

All International Board members are required to sign a confidentiality agreement when taking office.

Local Chapter

The local chapter and its officers are also required to abide by the same privacy restrictions as the International Association.
